SUNDAY, DECEMBER 11TH
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14th
Elizabeth Heffron teaches a weekend in-person intensive for Pacific Play Company on how to create stories using your body and language together. In this workshop you'll hone your craft of creating monologues and solo work, through writing prompts and creative exploration, you'll develop imaginary and extraordinary life experiences into dramatic monologues that can be performed by you or an actor. You'll find stories that are personally meaningful, emotionally satisfying, and relevant and engaging for an audience. This workshop will be both useful for writers as well as actors looking to develop material for themselves.
Workshop will take place in the First Hill neighborhood of downtown Seattle.
The workshop will be $100

2023 SEASON starts with two parties!
Pacific Play Company kicks off 2023 with two great events!
This evening will explore the shadowy world of the Bardo! The Bardo is known in Tibetan culture as an intermediate, transitional or liminal state between death and rebirth. The evening will be set in candlelight and the audience will move through from one story to the next with monologues, short scenes and live music. Monologues and scenes will be fully memorized and rehearsed by actors and performed in a party-like atmosphere.
Pacific Play Company will present an evening of romance gone awry for two evenings. This collection of monologues and short sketches will make anyone in a relationship laugh and single people happy they are free on Valentine’s Day!
